Abstract

Leadership is recognized as an essential factor for the success of organizations, directly impacting employee engagement and the achievement of strategic objectives. This study analyzes how leadership styles influence employee performance at the Bem Viver Supermarket, located in Assis Chateaubriand. The research seeks to understand how different leadership approaches affect performance and organizational results, such as motivation, satisfaction and productivity. The methodology used was qualitative, with the application of forms sent to both employees and leaders. The results indicated that leadership has a significant impact on employee motivation and performance, directly reflecting on productivity and satisfaction in the workplace. The research also identified the need for improvement in communication practices between leaders and subordinates, in addition to the importance of continuous training to strengthen management. It was concluded that leadership practices, regardless of style, are decisive for organizational performance and employee commitment to the company's objectives, suggesting that a greater focus on the development of leadership skills can be a competitive advantage.
