Abstract

The "Family Economy Forum: Strategies and Sustainability", held on November 25 and 26, 2024, addressed essential topics for the promotion of the well-being of families in Brazil, such as food, health, housing, conscious consumption and human development. Discussions on food quality and the importance of health education practices emphasized the need to ensure access to healthy food, especially in vulnerable communities. The forum also highlighted the relevance of sustainable fashion, conscious consumption and handicrafts as tools for social inclusion and income generation. In addition, essential public policies for the development of children, adolescents and women were discussed, emphasizing the role of women in strengthening the family economy. Proposed solutions included implementing food education programs, supporting sustainable practices, and building collaborative networks between government, civil society, and the private sector. The event showed that, through collaboration and diversity of perspectives, it is possible to promote significant changes towards a more sustainable family economy and a more dignified quality of life.
