Abstract

The Book A World Without Poverty: The Social Enterprise and the Future of Capitalism, by Muhammad Yunus, proposes a new form of economic organization centered on social enterprise — a self-sustainable business model whose main purpose is social impact, not profit maximization. Founder of Grameen Bank, Yunus shares his experience with granting microcredit to vulnerable populations in Bangladesh, especially women, demonstrating that it is possible to combat poverty through market mechanisms. Divided into three parts, the work discusses the functioning of the social company, differentiates it from social entrepreneurship, and explores its practical viability with examples such as the Grameen-Danone partnership.
