Abstract

This study investigates the significant impact of the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification on businesses, focusing on promoting sustainability and competitiveness in international trade. Additionally, it analyzes the importance of traceability in the supply chain, ensuring responsible sourcing of products. The research addresses the main advantages and challenges associated with FSC certification, highlighting its influence on companies' competitive position in the global market. The analysis also explores how FSC certification can be a strategic differentiator for businesses seeking to expand their presence in international trade, while contributing to the conservation of natural resources. Furthermore, it discusses key critical points and opportunities for improvement in FSC implementation, aiming to optimize supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the role of FSC certification in business sustainability and competitiveness, offering insights to inform strategic decisions regarding certification and responsible resource management.
